It is difficult to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit has teamed up with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health.
Activities that make your heart pump more have enormous health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll earn a Heart Point for every minute of moderate activities, such as gaining speed while walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. Achieving the recommended amount of physical activity from the AHA and WHO, which are shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep and improve overall mental wellbeing, requires just 30 minutes of brisk walking five days a week.

Get instant insights when you exercise and see real-time statistics for your runs, walks and bike rides. Fit will use your Android phone’s sensors or Wear OS by the Google smartwatch’s heart rate sensors to record your speed, speed, route and more.
TRACKS YOUR GOALS
See your daily progress on your Heart Points and Steps goal. Always achieve your goals? Easily adjust your goals to continue challenging yourself to get a healthy heart and mind.
COUNT YOUR ENTIRE MOVEMENT
If you walk, run or cycle throughout the day, your Android phone or Wear OS by Google smartwatch automatically detects your activities and adds them to your Google Fit diary to allow you to get credit for each move. Do you want extra credit? Increase the tempo in your walks by starting a brisk walking exercise and stepping into the tempo. Enjoy a different type of exercise? Select from the list of activities such as Pilates, rowing or spinning, and Google Fit will track all the Heart Points you earn.
CONNECT TO YOUR FAVORITE APPS AND DEVICES
Fit can show information from most of your favorite apps and devices to provide a holistic view of your health, so you never lose your progress. These include Lifesum, Wear OS by Google, Nike+, Runkeeper, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Basis, Sleep as Android, Withings, Xiaomi Mi bands and more.
